Swappity Swap Swap Swap

Though I've been knitting these days, I seem to have lost the ability to operate my camera very well. So it's one picture only.  I think you can see the nice color of the yarn and the detail of the cables pretty well here so let me tell you all about them!

For some crazy reason (most likely the extreme motivation that comes from January 1) I decided to sign up for a swap sponsored by the Loopy Ewe.  Now it's been years since I've participated in anything like this.  I've had both good and bad experiences in the past, but overall the swaps had been fun.  My Pollyanna moment was truly when I disregarded the pressure knitting factor. In my world if you want to ruin a pattern or project some pressure on yourself.  The good news in all of this is the yarn.  Malabrigo worsted is a dream to knit with.  It was soft and fluffy, it was a colorway that was easy on the eyes and it wasn't one bit splitty.  I'll certainly be back for more.

The pattern is Arden.  It was fun and I knit one less cable repeat than called for.  They still came almost to the elbow.  Not Raveled yet as the recipient just got them yesterday.  More good news...it appears as though she liked them!

Happy Friday my friends, enjoy the snow if you're in this neighborhood. Just enjoy if you're not!

Such loveliness! I always like knitting hats and mitts with Malabrigo. Perfect for little things -- so soft and so pretty!
