It's KK's Day!

One of my favorite people turns 21 today!  She is the daughter of my friend, a friend of my son, and lucky for me, a friend of mine. 

I don’t remember how old she was when I met her but I’ll go with 8 or 9.  She has a wonderful sister too and I think our official meeting date was New Years Eve.  These girls were adorable and they were all dressed up as I recall.  Little did I know how important they would become to me and how enjoyable it has been to watch them grow to amazing young adults.

As her birthday approached I knew I needed to do something special for her.  And she knits! The most recent installment of the Woolen Rabbit yarn club was a skein of Mara.  If you don’t know this yarn, go find yourself some!  I knit my Hawthorne with it and this Greyhaven cowl.  It’s a light worsted weight blend of merino, alpaca and silk.  Scrumptious I tell you.
