Oh boy am I liking this Sockpaloooza! The first sock is knitting up quickly and #1 should be complete by the end of Sunday night t.v. The return of the Soprano's, Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy and a complete sock all on the same day. I may be shallow but that makes for pretty good stuff. Add the beautiful New England Saturday we had, a sunny porch, a good glass of wine and that is pure bliss.
I've seen many posts about knitting the same thing over and over. While knitting this sock, and frogging it, and knitting it again, it occured to me that I didn't even freak when I frogged. I'm enjoying it so much that I didn't care. There aren't too many tasks in everyday life that bear duplicating. But the socks, sure, bring it on. I'll rip it out and do it again for ya. No problemo. You want me to wash the kitchen floor? Cook supper, again? I'm sorry, I'm busy with my socks. I've got a plan to knit socks for everyone I know.
Though I've got a pretty brown thumb, this African Violet has remained vital since the June celebration of my mother-in-law's 80th birthday. The flower represents the colorway of my sockpal yarn, purchased from the ever helpful, friendly and talented Dani at Sunshine Yarns. I can't say enough about the great experience I've had over the past couple of weeks.
TLP wants to mention the unfortunate loss Boston College suffered to Duke today. March Madness begins next Wednesday so it's all brackets, all the time. Much of our year is measured in sports schedules and this would be my 22nd March Madness. Last year at 14 TLP cashed in and won $100.00 on the tournament...not bad for a rookie!
