Frog 101
Glasses - check. Bright light - check. Needle and thread - check. Courage - really small check. I've never truly ripped out my knitting with the intent of actually getting the stitches back on the needle. As much as I enjoy this sport, I have a huge fear of the frog. Ah, kid's play for you accomplished knitters I know, but this was brain surgery for me. Add to the mix that we're talking Jaywalker knitting here - size 1 needles and Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock. I pulled and I ripped. I pulled and I ripped right to the beginning of the heel flap. And much to my surprise 38 teeny tiny stitches lay before me. It was a miracle. Now, Dr. Spaniel had to get those 38 tiny stitches back on the needle before any of them dropped down to never, never land. I did it. I was so stupidly delirious that I immediately attempted one of those Sudoku puzzles. Just give me a gun next time! So hopefully I can get back on track here and have at least one completed sock here by the end of the weekend. I'm certain Cara has knit 76 to my 1/2! Other knitting news...a hat for a co-worker completed, poking along on Cozy from Knitty 2004 and wishing I had chosen a lighter color, starting an Aran sweater class next week. Really looking forward to that!
